Neuroanatomy - What has been the best resource for you? Any hints/tips/suggestions? I recommend buying "The Human Brain Coloring Book" and working through it. Also, Nolte's "The Human Brain" is a great textbook. As for online resources, you can make flashcards at Studyblue to help you study!

If you're looking for great diagrams and explanations of neuroanatomy, tracts, and nuclei, then Neuroanatomy through Clinical Cases by Blumenfeld can't be beat. If you're the student on the go, ain't got time for shit, and just need the facts or a review book, then Drgsean's recommendation is good. Clinical Neuroanatomy for undergraduates The course provides an overview of the structure of the central nervous system • Topographical anatomy of the brain and spinal cord • The organization of the major neural systems underlying sensory, motor and cognitive function. Resources: • Textbooks • Lab manual • Course website • SylviusFile Size: 2MB.

It's a big book though (~ pages), but if you have the time, I highly, highly recommend it. Our neuroscience block lasted about months, so I nearly read the book cover-to-cover. LOTS of clinical correlations and patient cases to work through, which really helps reinforce the neuroanatomy. Now in its 25th year, this best-selling work is the only neuroanatomy atlas to integrate neuroanatomy and neurobiology with extensive clinical information. It combines full-color anatomical illustrations with over MRI, CT, MRA, and MRV images to clearly demonstrate anatomical-clinical correlations. This edition contains many new MRI/CT images and is fully 3/5(2).
